Baby baby getting closer...

My beautiful sister who threw me this spectacular shower!

Friends from Colorado at my baby shower...

Cousins! (and Aunt torrie...)

Family and friends...my cute in-laws, their in-laws, and Sharon!

I'll probably have more pictures because it was just so adorable, so I'll have to post one of all the decor. However, I just wanted to say a pre thank you to everyone who came. It made it so special to have everyone who I love there. It was so great to see you, friends! And everyone was so generous to us and our little one...so thanks! We love you.

Happy Easter family times...bust out your pastels!

Me with my sweet little nieces and Robbie, Me, and Baby in my Belly!
Easter was such a good day. We went up to Bountiful to spend the day with Maggie, Bob, and the Dellenbachs after a nice day at church (and singing in the choir! Go Rob!) They made us the yummiest dinner ever...great day!

Can it get any better? I submit that it cannot...

Trip to Carmel Sept. 07...1 Year anniversary, 23rd birthday, visit my Grandparents, and just because I love it there.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium...one of my favorite places to visit since I was young and quite obviously becoming one of Rob's :)

Just a stop along the way to Big Sur

Famous Cannery Row...anyone want to be our professional photographer for life and just follow us around so we don't end up with mishap half faces like this?

How sweet it is...little beth burke and arguably one of the cutest little guys around.

How hot is my hubby? What else could i want for my b-day?

Eating the one year old top of our wedding cake on our anniversary...is it weird that it was better than I remember?

Ahh, the beach. What I wouldn't give right now...

Do you have anywhere that you just feel right in the world? This is mine...

I've got problems with this...

For all you pregnant women out there. As the time quickly approaches and draws closer and closer near, I'm getting more and more excited to see what she's going to look like, more and more anxious to hear her sweet little cries, more and more eager to teach her all about the world, and more and more horrified as my weight steadily gains on Rob's! I'm huge! I'm sure all of you beautiful women are taking your pleasant plumpness in graceful style but I can't lie...I've got a problem with it! Where's my oh-so-celebrated pregnancy glow? Aren't I just suppose to look beaming and beautiful all the time? I don't know about you but that's not how I feel! My tummy is cute, that's all fine and well. The lower regions of my body however, they were suppose to stay the same! I guess they didn't get the memo. Anyway, since I've felt so wonderful and not had a problem or care in the world to worry about I thought I would find something I could complain about. :) What a wonderful world...

Birds of Paradise

There is a story about a little bird. The bird was very cold, so cold that it was near death. Just then a farmer happened along and noticed the bird and picked it up. The farmer looked for something to warm the bird and the only thing he could find was a fresh cow pie. So he set the bird right in the middle of that cow pie and went along his way. Soon the warmth of that cow pie warmed the bird and it began to sing. Along came a fox...and ate it.

The Good News

Many LDS members have heard recently about DNA evidence proving that the ancestors of Native Americans are of Asian decent, thus disproving the claims of the Book of Mormon that the Nephites (Jews) are the principle ancestors of the Indians. While the data exists and is compelling, I recently came across additional research that once again bears testimony of the Book of Mormon. An LDS researcher named Rod Meldrum has put together a powerful 4 hour presentation that helps to answer these DNA questions and sheds light on Book of Mormon geography. His theories are powerful, sensible and intriguing. Additionally, they fall in line not only with clues given in the Book of Mormon itself, but with the teachings and actions of the Prophet Joseph regarding this subject. The link below is the website where I bought the DVD. I would strongly recommend it to all Latter-Day Saints who are seeking varying perspectives on the subject and would like to inform themselves in order to participate intelligibly in this debate. In other words, its worth the $20. Give ol' Rod your support!!

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...

So it's pretty much decided that the little ones name will be elizabeth. However, I'm struggling with the middle name...so I'm opening it up to discussion.

*Elizabeth Avery

*Elizabeth Sophia

*Elizabeth Delilah

*Elizabeth Chloe

Anyone? What do you think? Keep in mind, I most surely won't listen to you, and her name will probably end up being Talulah Fifi Trixibelle Honeyblossom LovelyRose (celebrities should no longer be able to have children), but I want your opinion just the same. :)

Why so cold Utah?

Last week it was 55 degrees and sunny. I wore flip flops and all was right with the world. Now I'm sitting in our house completely frozen (because our heating bill is $100 even if we keep it below 60), hands purple and shaking as I type...literally, thinking what happened? I thought it would get warm, but alas...springtime, I miss you! Don't get me wrong, I actually really enjoy the winter. Well, at least until about mid-january. At which point all things festivities and fun that I love about winter are over and gone. There's no snow, it's just deceptively cold outside. Which granted, a sunny yet cold day is a good ski day...but who are we kidding, I'm not an avid skier and being pregnant is not helping my cause. I must say however that being pregnant during these blue months has got to be better than when it's sweltering. In addition, taking my baby out in her new little stroller listening to the cranberries on a beautiful sunny summer day is keeping me eternal happy just in the thought of it. So I will dream of warmer things, continue to eat ice cream no matter how freezing it is, use my lotions and scrubs that remind me of coconut sun tanning, wear yellow with white shoes, and cuddle up with some good books until my beloved Springtime returns again.

Apparently it's all the rage

Everyone keeps telling me I must get a blog so here it is...a work in progress, but I'm blogging none the less.
