It's labor day and here's what's happening.

So here's what's happening. I have a months worth of fun pictures and trips to tell you all about but technology hates me and I am once again having computer issues. Rob's PC is pretty much out of memory so I can't add more photos without wanting to shoot myself. I could add them to my mac but then I wouldn't be able to post them because my mac will not let me sign into Gmail no matter what I try. So that's my story and it stinks.

On a happier note, it's labor day and not only are we spending tonight doing what will surely be a fabulous BBQ with family but there are all sorts of good sales going on. So after Elizabeth takes a nap I'm off to find some good deals that hopefully weren't ravaged and gone by five this morning via the coupon crazy utah mormon moms brigade. What I'm really hoping for is a deal on some furniture for our basement and on some supplies for my latest project.

A girl in our ward told me about this and I'm so excited. It's a plan to make your own toddler bed. It can be found here: http://www.designspongeonline.com/2009/07/diy-project-upholstered-toddler-beds.html. I love me an upholstered bed so of course I went bananas over this fun and affordable project. However, I'm going to do them for twin beds and make a headboard as well. I'm just waiting to see what the sex of our baby is going to be because I'm making two. I never totally decorated Elizabeth's room and now I want too and I see no reason to have to change it in another year when a new baby joins her in there. Oooo, I love a project!

Finally!

So this is what our living room has looked like for the past month or two and it's driving me crazy!!!

I was ecstatic when my sister called and offered her piano for a time until she is more stable. Unfortunately we hadn't finished our basement yet so our small living room was the only place to put it. The room already over crowded with two couches, an end table, a coffee table, a 6 ft lovesac and entertainment system (one for us and one for baby), has now become unbearably claustrophobic. This is what it looks like on a clean day with the excersaucer pushed up next to the TV, the couches in one long strange configuration, and the lovesac in the the walkway/kitchen. Yikes! So it's no surprise that I'm so happy to announce the commencement of our basement! No longer will it be an obstacle course to get from front door to back. We will move the TV and lovesac downstairs to make a suitable place for the beloved piano. So wish us luck as we embark on our huge headache...I'm sure we'll need it!

Could Be The Best Room Ever.

A wall of books, everywhere else windows, a piano, and beautiful architechure...what else do you need? Well, maybe an oversized ridiculously comfortable sofa but...it's pretty much perfect. Look how the bookshelves are pretty much just an extension of the ceiling. Loooove it. I need a room like this in my house someday.

Trash to Treasure

Okay so let's be honest the Diaper Genie is not exactly the look I was going for in the nursery. So I got this super cute off white galvanized trash can from Ikea. Then I saw this one and got a little jealous that they now make one with a pedal...good when you have a less than desirable oozing diaper (forgive me) in one hand and baby in the other!Either way, I love anything and everything Galvanized. Speaking of, check out these adorable galvanized buckets. I'm dying to find something to use them for. Perhaps to organize Elizabeth's clothes, all my craft supplies, or maybe for a gift basket...I'm not sure, but I'm loving them. They come in 4 sizes and 13 colors and are only like 10 bucks!

Any dream will do...

So i'm always clipping out pictures for my inspiration book and I came across these that I'm kinda diggin. I'm a total sucker for dark hard wood, glass front white cabinets, apron front sinks, and any shade of green. Someday...
