Early Bird Baby
So for those of you near and far I haven't been able to contact yet we had our little baby yesterday! Little William Keith Neilson (Liam for short) was born Monday February 22, 2010 at 10:11 AM. He was 6 lbs 13 oz, 19.5 in, and 12 days early! He is oh so sweet and in a constant state of coma like mellowness in true Neilson fashion. We love him to death and will post some pictures and some details tomorrow. Thanks for all your love and help.

Oh, Henry...
So every time we would go over to my brother's house Etta would go find their enormously over sized bear and wrestle it to the floor in wild fits of laughter and joy, this last time was no different. She finds him and tries to carry him upstairs where she tackles and kisses him. Upon explaining how much she loved it my brother said, "we have another one do you want it?" Uh, yeah! She went nuts with excitement. We named him Henry and she wants him with her everywhere...hence this picture of her watching her daily YBCR.
Thanks James and Christy!

New Years
On New Years Eve our friends Greg and Cassidy (our south wall neighbors) had us and some other friends over for snacks, games, and the countdown. Super fun, thanks guys!
I was really starting to look very pregnant around this time!
Chris and Andrea (our north wall neighbors)
Addysin and Etta have become such good friends, it's so cute!
As much as we love BYU and rob's awesome job there, I hate that he has to be clean shaven all the time. So everytime there's a break I make him grow out a little beard cause hey, it looks hot. Something that didn't look so hot however was the mustache he shaved it into upon returning to work on New Years Day. So this is what I had to wake up to. Rob and and his whole team thought it would be funny to have a contest so luckily once it was judged it could be shaved! He looks so dirty! Haha...
New Years Day we decided to have some friends over for a pizza/football/wii golf extravaganza. The guys came over and watched football and played all day and night. It was super fun to have some down time with all our neighborhood buddies! Including adorable Alivia!
All the guys chillin...
All in all a very fun weekend before jumping off into a very long winter.

Epicurean Elation
Epicurean: fond of or adapted to luxury or indulgence in senual pleasures; having luxurious tastes or habits, esp. in eating and drinking.
Have you seen this show? I love it. I watch and feel like these people really understand good food and being abnormally moved by it. :)
So this bakery was featured on their episode titled Salty Goodness...a sweet pastry that can be labeled as salty goodness? This is right up my alley. It's called Les Madeleines and it's right here in Salt Lake! Their claim to fame is the Kouing Aman. It's a crunchy salted carmel baked on the outside of a flaky, gooey, croissant like pastry and apparently it's heaven.
At $6 dollars a piece for this glorified muffin I'd say it fits the definition of food luxuries. Is it worth it? Anyone wanna take a day trip with me to find out?

Dancey Dance Time
Etta loves Yo Gabba Gabba. I can't really even describe how much. It's the only show beside her reading videos she gets to watch so it's the only thing she associates with the TV. So any where we go she points to the TV and says gabba gabba gabba, yooooooo gabba!
Watching this show has made her love for dancing grow seeing as they do tons of singing and dancing. One of her favorite things is she goes over to my guitar and says dance, dance, dance! I play random chords over and over really loud and she goes nuts doing her prancy dance and spinning around.
Funny Story:
So I left Etta with her sitter Betty last week and reminded her if she's asking for "gogo" she wants her dog "Hugo." Upon returning Betty told me she had a hard time figuring out what she meant when she was shouting "gogo rina gogo rina!" Eventually she saw that elizabeth has a tutu in her room and that she wanted Hugo to be a ballerina. He's very skinny so dressing him is hard and she gets very very frustrated when his cloths fall off. So the tutu ended up on her, which was ok. :) This is a new thing. She likes to cloth him, brush his teeth, clip his nails, and just baby him in every way. She'll be such a good big sister, as long as she doesn't try "brother rina."
Some of her favorite songs these days are:
Five Little Monkeys
Wheels on the Bus
Kookaburra
Down by the Bay
Five Little Ducks
Don't Worry Be Happy
Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee
If You're Happy and You Know It
Shake You're Sillies Out
Head Shoulders Knees and Toes
and anything from Yo Gabba Gabba
Love you Etta rina!

Monstrous Christmas Time Post
First pic with my new camera Christmas morning...my sweet, sexy hubby surprised me with the new Nikon D3000. I was super surprised and super excited! Now I'm just psyched to learn how to use it...I got him a video camera that we took some good footage with that I'll hopefully have up soon.
This is actually later that day trying out her new bike just before we left for Benihana. :) We did such a huge meal on Christmas Eve with a small program after that we decided to do an easy favorite with no prep and no clean up for Christmas night.
Etta loved her bike!
Christmas morning was fun with my parents, rob's mom and bob, and my little sister. We had cheeser eggs, country potatoes, bacon, and fresh cinnamon rolls...mmmmm. It was so yummy and the perfect way to start the morning.
We then opened lots of presents and had fun goofing off and posing for the camera.
We all met up at the aquarium during the break, always a fun activity.

My sweet little family.

Lovin the aquarium gift shop...
Love this baby!
Oh my cutie...
Little nephew Mason givin me a snuggle...
I'm ready for my newborn!
We had such an awesome time having all our family in town. We did all sorts of fun activites, celebrating, eating, playing, shopping, and just hanging together. Thanks to everyone for such a fun time.

How we do...
So apparently the word is out on some of our favorite activities. We've been doing this since the fall and recently every where is getting more and more crowded with moms and their tots! I'm happy for these moms because I understand how much we need these things to get us out of the house, but it's getting crazy! So I figured since the word is out anyway, I'd invite you all too!
So here's what our weekly plan roughly looks like.
On Mondays...
Monday is usually our free day where we participate in unscheduled activities. These include:
The Aquarium is $18 for an adult yearly pass and $14 for kids over 2...a whole year!
The others are FREE (click links for hours)
On Tuesdays...
We do lap games, songs, and stories and Etta just loves it.
FREE
On Wednesdays and Thursdays...
Etta and I love to go to Jump On It! They have a mommy and me time from 10-11AM on both these days for kids 5 and under. The first kid is $3, each additional kid is $2, and moms are free. She loves being around all the kids and it tires her out big time!
On Fridays...
We go to Provo Library Mother Goose Time from 11AM-12PM. We love Orem story time but this one at Provo is so fun so we never miss it. It's a whole production with songs, dancing, stories, puppet shows, and more. We love it!
FREE
When there's other free time we take lunch to dad and watch the volleyball players practice, have play dates with friends, dance to our favorite songs, watch YBCR, go on nature walks collecting different items, and do our "Slow and Steady Get Me Ready". All FREE!
Anyway, I just thought I'd share so whenever you all want to join us you can and know that there are things to get you of the house in the winter that don't cost and arm and a leg. I really feel so strongly that it's important for our children's development to get out and do stimulating activities and important for our sanity. Comment or call me if you have any questions, want to come, or have other fun things you all do!
Baby Time!
My sweet sweet friend Beth threw me a little girlfriends brunch baby shower. We went to Magleby's Fresh, downed french toast, chatted, opened presents, ate Beth's amazing cupcakes, and had a wonderful time. Thank you so so much to Beth and to everyone for coming to support and celebrate my growing family. Unfortunately it's mostly just pictures of me...but you get to see some of my cute gifts too!
We had an intense word search game...I really wanted to win. And look at my cute niece.
Ooo, Aubrey wants it you can tell...but Rachel won!
Apparently this had to be mine to coordinate with the many scarves I'm always wearing.
W for William!
Thanks again everyone, it was so fun to get out for an afternoon with my girlfriends with out my little sweetie and just relax. Can't wait for little Liam!
